The unrated version includes, among other scenes, two with Kim Basinger, who plays Elena Lincoln, an ex-girlfriend of Christian, and supposed origin of his peculiar tastes. There is also a longer, unrated version, released chiefly for home distribution, running at 1 hr 50 min, five minutes longer. The running time quoted by IMDB, "1h 45m," is for the theatrical version.
